OODSTOCK, VERMONT... Get ready for the cutest event of the year at Billings Farm & Museum. Baby Farm Animal Celebration returns on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 10:00AM – 5:00PM, for a weekend filled with fun, education, and adorable baby farm animals!
Meet Billings Farm’s Jersey calves, piglets, and chicks. Special baby farm animal guests include bunnies from Farm & Wilderness, Cabin Hill Farm’s goat kids, fiber goat kids and fiber rabbits from Starry Eyed Farm, and lambs from Aker Fiber Farm. Curious about other baby animals? Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park rangers with be on hand to talk about baby animals in the wild.
In addition to all the baby farm animal fun, guests can hop on a wagon ride from 11:00AM – 3:00PM or listen to a Story with a Farm Friend at 11:00AM, 1:00PM, and 3:00PM. Visitors can try their skills on the obstacle course, check out the animal-themed sensory station, and chat with a farmer!
If all the cuteness makes you hungry, grab a bite to eat from the food trucks! Sustainable Eats will be serving up smoothies, espresso beverages, lunch options, and more. Heidi’s Hot Dogs will be offering – you guessed it – hot dogs! Ice cream and snacks will be available for purchase on site, including at the Museum Gift Shop.
While taking in all of the adorable baby animals, stroll around the site to see the Art on the Barns Exhibition! This is an exciting, abstract exhibition that seemingly changes with the seasons. In collaboration with Soapbox Arts, it features Vermont artists Elise Whittemore and Will Gebhard. Be sure to check out what spring looks like in the context of this exhibit! Billings Farm & Museum, now in its 43rd season, welcomes visitors Friday - Monday, 10:00AM – 4:00PM from April 4 to May 23, and daily from 10:00AM – 5:00PM from May 24 to October 31. Winter hours include weekends and select days through February 22, 2026. This historic Jersey dairy farm and museum showcases a culture of care and connection to land, food, and community with immersive experiences through daily programming, seasonal and farm events, camps, workshops, and unique after-hours experiences.
